I’m sitting in bed writing this, I haven’t had a decent amount of sleep in days and it’s rained non-stop for bloody ages now so I refuse to get up until at least midday, personal protest thing 
Anyhoo….my ‘first day’ of working at the photography place! It’s not like ‘Klick’ or places like that, it does do photo processing like Klick however it also does photo restoration, photo editting, canvas prints, poster prints etc etc – and it also has a studio upstairs 
So more of a studio/shop, which I thought would be funky as the lady at the interview said I’d be to work in the studio shooting portraits, woo hoo! It’s actually a very new place, just opened on Wednesday so I expected things to be a bit all over the place.
Anyhoo, at the interview there was a man and a woman. The woman was really lovely and we got on well…but the man I’d describe as ‘creepy’! He just sort of stood there being a total grump! ‘What sort of things have YOU photographed??’ Bloody misery! I said to my family that I’d be fine as long as I stuck with the woman and avoided the man…turns out that was going to be pretty freaking impossible – the studio is nothing to do with the woman, she is just the owner (the creep man)’s partner and was just helping him out with the interviews. GAAARGH!
I got there at 10am and just hovered around waiting to be shown something or given something to do but no one knew I was actually coming so they hadn’t planned any training that all the other new starters have getten, stupid man couldn’t even mention I was going to be there! He just chatted to the other girls (who consisted of an overweight American from ‘head office’, a small woman who became a grandma at age 35 and, oh yes, his own mother!) while I stood there. Eventually I got a bit sick and asked if there was something I could do, so he gave me the job of doing some print-from-print jobs. He showed me how to do the first pic in about 4 seconds flat then said ‘right, you do these three’ 
I bloody know he just did it so I’d look like a fool and not be able to do it, but I was even more determined just to spite the daft little man, so I bloody did it. I had NO idea what I was doing so I just made some educated guesses (and wasted some paper whilst i was at it, woops!) and it worked – stick that up your ass little man!
Right, so that took up about 5mins of my four hour shift, the rest of the time I was expected to hover about doing buggar all and PUT UP SHELVES!! WTF?! I made a pretty great job of it though, out of sheer boredom! The rest of the time I took it upon myself to make some nifty displays and fill up empty shelves. At 2pm I asked if I could either do something or leave (it was the end of my shift anyway) and he said ‘yeh, I’ve got your number, I’ll call you’ You’ll WHAT?! His wife had GIVEN me the job on Tuesday, WTF is ‘I’ll call you’ about?! God the day was totally CRAP. He just really didn’t like me and didn’t seems to even want to get to know me. He’s apparently a photographer by profession so I think he just see’s me as a daft little kid and thinks maybe I’ve taken a few pics over the years and call myself a photographer – well no actually, my freaking grade A qualifications do that for me asswipe. *grrr* Oh the last straw – my arm got all wet on the bus home cos of a leaky window combined with heavy rain lol! God what a miserable day lol!
Sooo apparently I’m just waiting for a phone call now, stupid bloody man – she GAVE me the job! If it had just been down to him I wouldn’t have even getten the trial in the first place, he was just rude from the offset. Bah, I’m not down about it though, it was an ‘experience’ if nothing else! It’s been a really busy month, really tiring and theres more to come. I’m going to be at the hospital next week for my skin allergy testing which I’m totally dreading. And the funny thing is, I have to take a urine sample with me which I’m actually embarassed about lol! I send out things worse than that all over the world and I’m embarassed about taking my pee to the docs?! lol, I’m a funny little thing! Next weekend I’ll be taking a little time out for a few days, I’m not around as much these days though so you may not even notice but it’ll be good for me.
