My leg hurts. Boo.

Also, my head hurts. Been working like a mad thing on my business plan and it’s sooo hard. I love it really, spend hours on it each day, but it’s so daunting. I’m really happy though, finally doing what I want to do, it’s such a good feeling

I don’t really have anything more to say today, but I like to pop on here every so often otherwise I forget about it! I’ll scoot off now then to backup some files (oh the joys) and try and come up with my damn logo! Aaaargh, designing stuff for other people is eeeeeasy, designing my own stuff is too damn hard!

What a kNight!!

Oh. My. God.

THE DARK KNIGHT!!

I was lucky enough to get tickets for a premiere showing of the latest Batman film earlier this week. I’ve never done anything like that before, it was such a fab night!! We got this funky goody bag thing and huuuuge comfy seats with about four foot of leg room, heaven for my moster legs! There was also people dressed as Batman and The Joker! I’ve been waiting to see this film for a long time now, and bloody hell it didn’t disappoint. One of the best films I’ve ever seen. EVER. Undoubtedly the star was Heath Ledger, he was unrecognisable. He put so much into the part, if you’ve ever seen him in the AWFUL Ten Things I Hate About You it’s hard to believe this is the same guy. Don’t wanna say too much, don’t wanna spoil anything, go see it for yourself!! It’s definitely one you have to see at a cinema!!

The Dark Knight: 10/10!!

Also, got my appointment for my MRI through today. It’s somewhere near the end of August, cant remember when. It’ll then be three weeks after that that I get a diagnosis, really looking forward to that…though I am being a big scaredy cat as usual and panicking!

…Beginning of a New Chapter

Well, I did it. That’s it. I have now left my job and am in the process of setting up on my own.

I have never been so scared or excited about anything in my life. I have so much ahead of me, hard to know where to begin.

Limpy girl no more…?

Eeep, just a few days to go and I’m out in the big wide world all on my own, I’m starting to feel like a proper grown up! I’m super excited!!

Anyhoo, got some interesting new yesterday. I went to see a musculoskeletal specialist for my buggared up knee. My physio referred me to him because she thought my problems were coming from a broken/extra piece of bone behind my kneecap (ie something serious). So the specialist waggled, poked and prodded me for around 40 mins, all the time making ‘hmmm’ noises and scribbling notes. His diagnosis at the end?

A suspected torn meniscus with acute tendonitis…!

IS THAT ALL?! This is one of the easiest things to treat and I’ve been limping around like a fool for 18 months?! My God I was PISSED!! Some days I can barely walk, this thing has had me in tears on practically a daily basis for a year and a half – I was all geared up to be told I have to have open knee surgery or something, a torn bloody meniscus!! It can be fixed in 40 mins with keyhole surgery!! He did say it’s a very painful condition (like he had to actually tell me that) when combined with tendonitis but he was absolutely disgusted that I’ve seen around a dozen different people about this bloody thing and not one of them could diagnose a possible torn meniscus.

He’s referred me for an MRI scan to confirm the diagnosis which I’m a little apprehensive about (you guys must all know what a scaredy cat I am by now!) but happy that something is getting done. We’re all hoping it is the tear/tendonitis (the scan will show both) because if it’s not then it’s likely to be a problem with where the two bones meet behind my kneecap.

Overall, I’m so bloody relieved and just hoping for the best. He’s pretty sure it’s just a big tear where some of the cartilidge, ie the torn bit, has moved somewhere it shouldn’t be and is causing trouble by sneaking into places and causing the joints to rub, hence the acute PAIN. Having said that though, it’s unbelievable it’s something so common and so treatable yet went undiagnosed for so long.

Now just gotta wait for the scan and the confirmation…

I did it…!

Well guys *gulp* I finally did it…handed in my notice at my current job and am on my way to becoming Rachy: The Business, as opposed to Rachy: The Over Worked Under Paid Fool I’ll miss a lot of people there which is kinda sad, for the first time ever in a job I felt like I belonged. But, it’s time to move on and I have many skills, qualifications and experiences that aren’t being utilised there. I have my first meeting with my business advisor on Friday, I’m super excited *gibbers a bit*

Well guys, I think I’m officially leaving work *eep* I’m gonna stay there another two weeks (with this week being week 1!) and then I’m outta there. It was a fun job at first, not really remotely related to where I wanna go with my life, but fun all the same. Now, not so much. Apparently the big people upstairs think if they slip in one extra tiny job every week I won’t notice. *sigh*

Rachy’s on a freakin’ roll!

Woop woop!

Howdy dudes! Just dropping in and showing some love cos I haven’t been on my blog much recently, I always forget about the bloody thing. Hope you guys have all been well My knee is still playing up but I do have the appointment made with a musculoskeletal specialist and hopefully he’ll refer me for my x-ray, good times.

Also, I’m dealing with a few life changes at the moment, happily they’re all positive things, yay! Basically, I feel that my time at my current job is coming to an end, I’m not happy there any more. Been big changes in management and staff turnover is high and I’m sick. I’m too young to stay in a job that makes me unhappy so I wanna be outta there by the end of July. Leaving a job without the next one lined up is a scary thought but something I’ll probably end up doing because I WANT OUT.

Also, my health (aside from my knackered old joints) is looking better than it has in a long time. I’ve been able to get through nearly all of my panty orders which is really a weight off my mind, I hate it when orders get delayed. So I’ve now been able to add four new pairs of worn panties to my panty page. There’s a wait of ten days approx at the moment but that’s just cos I have a couple of orders to get out then my period is due. After that I’m all yours, take advantage of me…!
